Tecninf and Standoff: the cyberbattle opens to the public

Tecninf takes part in The Standoff, an international cyber-range competition designed to put security best practices into action.

The Standoff is a cyberbattle in which cybersecurity companies protect businesses modelled on real organisations from attacks originating around the world.

City F is a digital twin of a modern urban area: every object uses the same web applications, software, hardware, PLC and SCADA systems as its real counterpart. Seventeen business targets, including banks, airports, power plants and transport systems, form an ecosystem facing 45 critical risks.

The simulation recreates real-time cybersecurity operations and explores attack vectors and techniques affecting ICS and SCADA systems. The Standoff promotes a model in which cybersecurity KPIs are linked to business outcomes.

Five blue defence teams were selected to oppose thirty white-hat teams impersonating threats, and Tecninf was among them. The event was an opportunity to demonstrate the company's skills and sector expertise.

A guided virtual tour also opened the event to the public, with an expert demonstrating real-time attack response, process control and cyber monitoring.
